Fleet Feet Sports is challenging Monterey to lose a ton and have a ton of fun in 8 weeks.

Who is Ton of Fun For? EVERYONE!

Individual community members, corporate teams, county departments, families, youth, wellness programs. Anyone who needs/wants to lose weight and do it as part of a community. The Aptos store Ton of Fun location is beginning it's 4th year! Each year the Ton of Fun program has increased the health and wellness of over 100 people EVERY year who have collectively lost over 2,000 lbs!!!! That's 1 TON!!

Every Monday @ 6pm Jan 9 – Feb 28 at Fleet Feet Monterey 

 Program Fee = $60

Earn back $25.00 toward any Fleet Feet Training Program or class in 2017 with 100% attendance 

We are ramping up to bring the Ton of Fun Weight Loss & Wellness Challenge to the Monterey location this January. Ton of Fun incorporates access to coaches, nutritional coaching, grocery shopping presentations, group walks, Injury prevention clinics, and a private FB support page. Participants will have weekly private weigh-ins at Fleet Feet Sports Monterey followed by a clinic. Weight loss will be recorded using our exclusive Running Affair App on our medical grade scales up to 400 lbs.

No matter what the weight loss goal is, even a modest weight loss, such as 5 to 10 percent of total body weight, is likely to produce health benefits, such as improvements in blood pressure, blood cholesterol, and blood sugars.  Fleet Feet encourages participants to see it as a journey rather than just a final destination.  The journey includes learning powerful new habits that lead to a healthier lifestyle, reduced stress and help you maintain your weight loss over time.

This program will help  jumpstart New Year’s wellness or weight loss goals whether it’s the the last 5 lbs you've been struggling with or the first of 50 lbs you would love to lose. For less than the cost of a latte a week, you can take action and realize that healthier, less stressed and more active you.

Week 1 | Jan 9: Goal Setting + Eating on a Schedule (Coach B)

Week 2 | Jan 16: Keeping a Positive Mindset / Release Limiting Beliefs (Coach B)

Week 3 | Jan 23: The 80 / 20 Plan + Healthy Happy Hour (Coach B.)

Week 4 | Jan 30: Grocery Store Tour (Coach B.)

Week 5 | Feb 6:   Relax & Release – Stress management (Coach B. + Erin Detka)

Week 6 | Feb 13: Finding Your Fitness (Ariel Johnson)

Week 7 | Feb 20: Injury Prevention (Coach B+ Erin Detka)

Week 8 | Feb 27: Next Steps and Healthy Potluck Celebration!

Optional Team Power-walk every Monday before the weigh-in / workshop at 5:30 lead by Coach Erin Detka!

We are committed to keeping the program fun and positive. We welcome you to our Fleet Feet community and we believe that through education, accountability, positive participation, and engagement, you will experience success in increasing your health and well-being not to mention weight loss. (ok and raffles too) You will meet new friends also interested in engaging in positive activities, reduce isolation and inactivity during the winter months and have a blast doing it.  So bring your positive energy, introduce yourself to others and participate.  Coach JoAnna Burks |  Head Coach for Fleet Feet Sports |  Certified Nutritionist & Personal Trainer

JoAnna is the creator of The Master Plan - The Master Plan - a coaching method designed to help  people reorganize and re-prioritize their daily schedule to infuse wellness into their business day in a very natural way. She specializes in fitness, food and having an attitude of gratitude.  Her passion lies with helping peole discover their personal recipe for creating clarity & energy in their minds and bodies - naturally.  Coach B. will be leading the Ton of Fun journey!

Erin DetkaCalifornia Massage Therapist
Erin created Counterbalance Bodywork for the purpose of keeping people in balance. Her observations have shown that we prosper when we are able to act towards our highest self. Continuing the daily tasks to keep working towards that is a constant balance. We all have events like running late, injuries, family emergencies or over commitments that counter what we strive for. This leads to stress, tension and soreness to name a few. She use massage as a tool to help counter those imbalances and keep you on track. Read More About Erin


Ariel Johnson | 

Ariel is a group fitness teacher, personal trainer, and mother of two. When she's not chasing after her kids or leading a thoughtfully sequenced class at a local studio, you'll find her playing outside--hiking, cycling, climbing, and dancing.  Her aim is to provide clear, intelligent instruction that will enable her clients to live and move with ease in their bodies at any age, any size, and any health history.  She is thrilled to team up with Fleet Feet Monterey as a trusted fitness professional, taking part in their recent Nice Girl Nation Fitness Festival, and the upcoming Ton of Fun program.  Read More about Ariel
