Run For Pie

Every family has their traditions on Thanksgiving, and Run For Pie is ours!  Come out for our 5th annual Thanksgiving Day race to burn some calories in anticipation for the big meal. Our 5k and 10k races take runners into the beautiful Forest of Nisene Marks State Park on scenic out-and-back routes, with mini pumpkin pies awaiting every participant at the finish line. Proceeds go to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Cruz County.

Where: Aptos Village Park in Aptos

When: Thursday, November 24th. The 5K and 10K races start promptly at 9:00 am! The Kids Race starts at 8:30 am

Cost: $35 for the 5k and $45 for the 10k

Online registration closes on November 20th. Be sure to register early because we will sell out!

The Course

All runs start under the oaks of Aptos Village Park, climb a short hill, and then head into the State Park, where the heat of summer will dense foliage and scenic beauty away. All distances take place entirely on paved and dirt fire road. There are a few hills, but otherwise the course is mostly flat.

Proceeds from the Military Appreciation Race will go to benefit the Presidio of Monterey Family & Morale, Welfare and Recreation. This is a quality-of-life program that directly supports readiness by providing a variety of community, Service Member and Family support activities and services. Included are social, fitness, recreational, educational, and other activities that enhance community life, foster Service Member and unity readiness, promote mental and physical fitness, and generally provided a working and living environment that attracts and retains quality Service Members.

Want to lend your support but can't make it to the race? Join the fun as a member of our Virtual Aid Station Crew! Just like an aid station supports runners on the course, you can provide valuable financial assistance to the Second Harvest Food Bank.
